This place offers something few other places have, a civic vibe.  In the formulation and envisiging  stages of the business, the family owners considered how to create real community within the space. Inman Perk is a place where friends meet with friends, where local artists exhibit their art, and where local musicians entertain - all for no charge!  Moreover, they considered how they could use this coffeehouse to help the community.  The owners assisted the Lanier Charter Career Academy set up an operating, retail, learning center at the Academy's Corner Cafe and offer a free arts program, just to name a few.  Inman Perk's business philosophy also contemplates its impact on the environment.  From incorporating repurposed brick and wood inside the coffeehouse, to using low impact, environmentally conscious practices and products, Inman Perk is committed to harnessing sustainable business practices.
102 Washington St., Gainesville, GA 30501
No matter who comes into The Perk, this place is like a home away from home.  You can even rearrange the furniture if you like.

What's in the Deli Case this week?  HOMEMADE Beef and Vegetable Lasagnas, Greek Penne Pasta Salad and Italian Broccoli Salad.  All dishes are made with the freshest, finest ingredients available.  We also use local products when and where available. Greek Penne Salad: We start with Penne pasta and add fresh, sweet, red and green, bell peppers, fresh, red onions, marinated artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, and fresh feta cheese finished with a balsamic vinaigrette.  Italian Broccoli Salad: Fresh, raw, broccoli florets with golden raisins, slivered almonds and gorgonzola cheese tossed with balsamic vinaigrette.

THE LASAGNA
Ahh yes, the Lasagna. As long in flavor as the simple ingredient list used to make it.  The full aroma speaks for itself. Loved by all, it makes a great meal on its own or a great munchy if your feeling peckish.  Either way, this rich and delicate food form will leave you fulfilled and happy.  Vegetable Lasagna: Filled with fresh Eggplant and Zucchini Squash, this otherwise traditional lasagna is full of a myriad flavors.  Meat Lasagna: Filled with the finest local beef and sausage, this lasagna is savory and delicious. The beef is grass-fed and raised right here in Georgia at White Oak Pastures Farm in Bluffton.  The fresh, lean, sausage is also local and is made in Franklin North Carolina by Nantahala Meats.  Notable Italian ingredients common to both lasagnas include: San Marzano Tomatoes, Parmesan Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, and Fresh Mozzarella. Now that's amore!

Chicken and Rice Soup

This is by far one of my favorite soups of all time.  Whether its beautiful weather or I'm feeling under the weather, this soup satisfies me on every occasion.  It is rich and delicious, yet light.  Food Historians and Medical Scientist say the combination of ingredients in traditional chicken soups may have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body, thus temporarily easing the symptoms associated with the common cold.  The result is a soup that is good anytime. Everything you need to make this soup is probably sitting in your refrigerator or freezer right now.  Heck, I even used chicken left over from a grilling two nights prior.  It's so simple and so delicious.  If you like chicken noodle soup or chicken and rice soup from the store, you will love this soup.  Knowing you prepared it yourself and that it is made with quality ingredients that you control is so rewarding.  So don't waste your time buying a can of salt water with chicken and rice or noodles, make the good stuff right in your kitchen.  You will never go back.
